Enrichment Classes

The Core of the Renaissance Kids Experience

The core of the Renaissance Kids experience is the enrichment class. We strive to make education fun for children and young adults and to prepare them to be lifelong learners.

“One of my fondest memories of the early days of Renaissance Kids is working as a teacher’s assistant for our Sunday afternoon Museum workshop. With eight students in a van, we’d spend the afternoon at the Getty Villa (then, the only Getty museum in L.A.) or the Norton Simon or any one of the wonderful museums in Los Angeles. Anna would share with the students stories of mythology or history as they studied individual artwork, and then there was always time for drawing their own interpretations of the art they observed. For me, this class epitomized what Renaissance Kids stood for, learning as a pleasurable pursuit.”

- Sabrina Rubin

Today, we offer a wide variety of group enrichment classes year-round for students of all ages. Below is a sampling of the courses we offer.

  • Pre-Pre-K & Pre-K Reading Readiness
  • Kindergarten Reading and Math Enrichment
  • Greek, Roman & Norse Mythology
  • Science Explorations
  • Shakespeare
  • Literary Analysis
  • Algebra Enrichment
  • Ways of Thinking: An Exploration into Problem Solving for Young Minds.

I consider myself very fortunate to have found Renaissance Kids. I honestly believe that I would not be where I am today if it were not for all of your individual contributions to my life. Ever since the ERB’s all of you have had such a large impact on every aspect of my academic life. I want to thank all of you for the hundreds of long hours that you have all put in to benefit me. I know that I will be off to college next year, but I will be sure to visit when I come back to LA during my breaks. Thank you all for everything.”
